Jakobi and Nan
is written by Esther Fischer and illustrated by Kerensa (Kerri) McCann.
It is a story about two-year-old Jakobi and his Nan. They love each other and do things together, but the way they do them is quite different.
• Written by an Indigenous grandmother and illustrated by a young mother, this book presents a beautiful friendship with a lively sense of humour. Healthy relationships are affirmed for children.
• Bright, spontaneous full colour illustrations.
• This is the first publication from Black Ink Press’s federally funded community project creating books that break the cycle of family violence.
